Analyst

role overview

The DeFi Analyst reports is responsible for the growth of DeFi within the Algorand ecosystem. We are looking for a self-motivated operator that can learn quickly and has an experimental approach to refining and scaling programs touching every layer of the crypto capital markets infrastructure. This person should have a background working in one or more of these areas previously and be conversant in the attached business models for partners where Algorand can deliver a value proposition that leads to adoption.

This role reports to the Head of DeFi.

responsibilities

• Work with Head of DeFi to grow Algorand TVL through venture investments and incentive programs 
• Conduct due diligence and opportunity assessment on partners and application teams
• Explore synergies between new and existing DeFi apps to grow DeFi adoption and trading volume
• Execute and analyze the results (forecasting and financial analysis) of DeFi incentives deployed within partner DeFi applications
• Prepare monthly reporting for primary DeFi growth metrics such as TVL growth, etc.
• Establish open communication lines with Algorand DeFi stakeholders, development teams, and venture capital 

requirements

• Hands-on experience in crypto whether with a startup, exchange, fund, or trading desk
• Good operational chops - demonstrated ability to see bottlenecks and find iterative solutions to achieve goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to define goals, measure results, and communicate impact
• Creative thinking and stakeholder mapping skillset to synthesize problem statements, proposed solutions, and scalable models to effectively interface with partners at scale

GOOD TO HAVE

• Avid user of DeFi applications across multiple chains
• Good understanding of DeFi history and growth trends  
• Consulting background with expertise in data visualization and analysis is a major plus
