Analytics Engineer

role overview

We are responsible for building a centralized cloud data analytics platform using open source technologies that will be used by our internal team. The goal is to democratize data, support the company’s critical business needs, provide reporting and analytics self-service tools to fuel existing and new business-critical initiatives.

responsibilities

• Perform strategic and ad-hoc data work, including but not limited to dashboards and metrics, to identify opportunities in data to accelerate product adoption, retention, engagement, and/or monetization
• Explore large, complex, and loosely defined datasets to create actionable insights
• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices
• Work collaboratively with product team members such as: product managers, engineering, design, as well as with core data team members

requirements

• Have a good understanding in data modeling
• Fluent in SQL and Python (Pandas, Spark, Scikit-learn, etc.) for data work
• Able to read Go/Rust to trace data flows and code paths
• Familiar with graph data structure, clickstream data, funneling, etc.
• Knowledge in financial services/blockchain/gaming industry is a plus
• Knowledge in modeling and simulations is a plus
