The Ecosystem Partnerships Team is responsible for creating and managing relationships with strategic partners that support Mysten Labs’ ecosystem. We’re looking for a business development professional who will create and manage strategic partnerships that support Mysten Labs’ growth efforts in Asia.

responsibilities

• Build and operationalize a comprehensive partnerships strategy that help power Mysten Labs’ products. Spanning a broad range of partner types: gaming, payments, commerce, crypto and finance
• Develop and apply your insights to identify impactful partnership opportunities
• Establish commercial relationships with partners within timeframes required to support the product roadmap
• Maintain healthy and productive relationships with partners, establishing shared milestones and KPIs and resolving business, policy and technical issues
• Lead deal initiatives, determining the right approach, sizing and scoping the opportunities, identifying risks and ways to mitigate them, and driving the plan for execution
• Work cross functionally with key stakeholders, e.g. finance, legal, compliance, security, to coordinate pilots, operationalize partnerships, set business goals and coordinate success metrics
• Contribute to the broader success of the team by refining processes and helping recruit awesome talent

requirements

• Be a creative problem solver who embraces change and ambiguity. You know how to navigate within highly regulated and/or ambiguous landscapes
• Have great commercial and product instincts
• Love learning, especially bleeding edge tech like DeFi, NFTs, DAOs and Web3
• Be a strong communicator comfortable presenting to senior executives internally and externally
• 6+ years total in partnerships/business development experience in B2B tech or fintech
• Want to be part of a winning team. You truly want to be a master of your craft and motivate others to do the same
• Fluency in English and Asian language (Mandarin or Korean preferred)
• You’ve got positive energy. You’re optimistic about the future and determined to get there
• Appreciate direct communication. You’re both an active communicator and eager listener - as they both come hand-in-hand. You’re cool with candid feedback and see every setback as an opportunity to grow
• You can pivot on the fly. Crypto is constantly evolving, so our priorities do, too. What you worked on last month may not be what you work on today, and that excites you. You’re not looking for a 9-5 job
• Have experience sourcing and structuring complex partnerships that require cross-functional teamwork within an organization
