Global Mobility Tax Manager (Equity / Token Payroll)

We are looking for a Global Mobility Tax Manager (Equity / Token Payroll). In this role, you will be initially reporting to the Head of Token Payroll.

The Token Payroll Product Design team is tasked with expanding, designing, and further developing WorkDAO’s Token Payroll product in each country we operate in. You will be a thought leader in redefining global compensation strategies as it relates to token payroll. This role provides a unique opportunity to combine traditional tax and payroll knowledge with arguably one of the fastest-growing industries in the world.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in organizational leadership, design thinking, and navigating complex global taxation and regulatory constraints, with a collaborative and positive attitude.

responsibilities

• You will be one of the most senior members of the token payroll team. You are expected to help lead by example and execute the vision and roadmap
• Be a critical member of the product team, that will have a significant voice in how we design our Token Tax Engine, process ownership, workflow mapping and etc. You are expected to do the work yourself, create playbooks and then delegate as new team members join
• WorkDAO is currently operational in 40 countries. The token payroll product must be designed, implemented, and operational in each of those countries within this year
• Manage external in-country partners for payroll or internal payroll teams, to guarantee product delivery on deadlines
• Understand, navigate, then concisely communicate and write about complex local tax regulations on tokens. You will be at the cutting edge of tax law and work directly with regulators depending on the jurisdiction
• Work closely with engineering, legal, finance teams to make sure the token product is 100% compliant with local regulations in each country
• Project management across several workstreams to ensure we are meeting all of our deadlines.
• Data analysis and reporting on the product rollout

requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in global mobility and/or global payroll at a Big 4 Accounting Firm or similar global firm
• Experience in project management and running global teams in multiple countries (at least 3)
• Experience and familiarity with non-cash compensation like equity awards, restricted stock units, stock options, etc., and their corresponding tax treatment
• Strong product mindset with an ability to balance short term execution with long-term strategic planning
• Deep knowledge or curiosity of cryptocurrencies and their tax treatment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities
• Reputation for integrity, dedicated work ethic, and desire for ownership & accountability
• Proven high level of maturity, executive presence, and judgment in complex high-profile, client-facing situations
• Experience in driving and managing multiple projects under timelines and shifting priorities
• Relentless execution ethic and lots of energy
• Extraordinary writing abilities, with a knack for structured thinking, concise summarization, and dynamic tone
