Role Overview

We are embarking on a period of rapid growth and we are looking for a Senior People Advisor. You'll be an employment relations specialist and will be responsible for supporting out remote-first team with regard to employment relations and relevant people related processes. Other key areas of work include employee engagement, health and wellbeing, performance & employee relations.

Responsibilities:

• Help build, develop, enable and retain a world class team
• Foster a welcoming environment, where team members know that you are representative of everyone
• Ensure employees will be always heard and listened to with the utmost respect
• Champion the company culture
• Support our executives and team leaders, allowing the company to develop and grow quickly
• Be the subject-matter expert for employment legislation, assisting with the careful management and resolution of ER-related matters
• Build effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the business
• Contract creation, immigration applications etc. where necessary
• Take on extra HR operational responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• 5 + years in a HR Business Partner role or similar
• Must be based in Auckland
• Confidence in your conflict resolution abilities, and skilled at navigating difficult conversations with compassion, utilising your high EQ
• Deep knowledge of relevant and current New Zealand employment legislation
• Familiar with correct processes when dealing with complex employment relations cases
• Experience and understanding of USA employment legislation is advantageous
• Exceptional relationship building skills
• Demonstrate a hands-on attitude, whilst remaining flexible and adaptable
• Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
• Familiarity with processes for engaging globally distributed contractors
• Ability to multitask and prioritise
• Have a deep empathy for people, be detail orientated, a great listener and possess excellent communication skills
• Have a genuine passion for building a positive and empowering environment
