Application QA (CentraPass)

Role Overview

As our Application QA you’ll promote quality culture and processes within the engineering team, influence engineering practices towards improving quality, and work with the engineering team to building testable products from the initial stages.

Responsibilities:

• Promote test automation in all areas of the stack by facilitating tooling and platforms for automating
• Work with engineers on implementing e2e tests
• Perform manual e2e testing where appropriate
• Work with product teams to identify risks early in the lifecycle and implement safeguards
• Identify external/internal security risks in traditional and web3 applications to take preventive action
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements:

• Experience writing rigorous test cases that identify high-value and high-risk areas of the product
• Experience with automation platforms to automate daily testing tasks
• Cypress E2E testing framework

Nice to have:

• Typescript / Javascript
• Web3 / Ethereum and Solidity knowledge
• AWS Serverless infrastructure and CloudWatch monitoring
• Proficient with Jira and Confluence
• Experience leading small agile/creative teams from prototyping to release stages
• Crypto and Metaverse Interest
