Role Overview

As the cryptocurrency media platform with the most extensive reach in the industry, our community of millions is one of our biggest strengths.

We’re looking for someone to engage with that creative, inspired, tech-savvy, financially-literate, fiercely independent, always curious community. Someone who understands crypto and the blockchain space deeply, and who appreciates that an audience as diverse as ours cannot be met with a one-size-fits-all approach.

We are seeking a full-time video creative director with an excellent understanding of YouTube audiences, algorithms, and analytics, a keen eye for storytelling and visual design, and a passion for blockchain and crypto. The ideal candidate will have experience in the concepting and production of short and long-form video content.

We are looking for an individual who can bring fresh ideas to the table, juggle multiple projects at a time, and feel comfortable experimenting with new forms of visual storytelling. The creative director will work closely with the video team to produce original visual content.

Location: Europe and Asia, fully remote

  • Concept new video project ideas based on research, analytics, and engaging storytelling
  • Format YouTube videos to maximize SEO capture
  • Create title and thumbnail concepts that generate high engagement
  • Coordinate with project managers and other team members to carry out creative vision
  • Analyze YouTube performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Brainstorm and implement innovative new sponsored content directions and initiatives
  • Track all ongoing video projects and align content production with the overall strategy of the department and company


Cointelegraph seeks candidates who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and strong communicators capable of working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience producing videos for the web, particularly YouTube, Twitter, Tiktok and Instagram
  • 3+ years of SEO and analytics experience with social media algorithms, primarily YouTube
  • Expert project management skills
  • An excellent sense of pacing, knowledge for the best ways to grab viewers, and a sense for how to tell a powerful story in as little time as possible while aligning with brand goals
  • Strong familiarity with Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other Adobe programs
  • An eye for motion graphics and design
  • A strong background or familiarity in blockchain and crypto, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi, web3, metaverse, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Have a deep understanding of social media platforms
