Data Engineer

Responsibilities

1/ Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture

2/ Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Vertica

3/ Create data tools for analytics and other team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product and business processes into an innovative industry leader

Requirements

1/ Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases

2/ Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets

3/ Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement

4/ Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets

5/ 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role

6/ Experience using the following software/tools:

• Relational Databases, including MySQL, Vertica
• Data pipeline and workflow management tools as Airflow
• Python
