Senior Data Analyst

Role overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a focus on the collection, interpretation, visualization, and analysis of our data to help drive and support our decision-making. The primary objective of the position is to transform complex data into a reporting structure that allows stakeholders to understand the data and draw actionable conclusions. In this role, you will take initiative, work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets from various sources (e.g., blockchain transactions, financial markets, and customer data), using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify patterns, trends, and insights
• Developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL queries, (Vertica, Redshift, MySQL databases) to ensure data accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility, perform statistical data analysis
• Leveraging your expertise in Python to design and implement advanced data models, predictive analytics, and machine learning algorithms to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate data insights into actionable recommendations and to develop data-driven strategies for our products and services
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and results, ensuring that key findings are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders
• Working with key stakeholders to identify needs and report outputs to answer questions and drive decisions
• Staying current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, blockchain, and finance, and identifying opportunities for improving our data infrastructure and analytical capabilities

Requirements

• 3+ years of BI/Analytics experience
• Advanced level of English (verbal and written)
• Strong experience working with databases, strong knowledge of SQL
• Experience with data visualization/BI tools (e.g, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Internally-motivated, self-starter with an analytical and curious mindset to help find insights and show the value of data-driven decision making
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with technical and non-technical teams
• Strong organization and presentation skills
• Detailed-oriented with a passion for analytics and problem-solving

Nice to have:

• Experience with Vertica, Redshift or similar
• Demonstrable experience in the blockchain or finance domain
• Familiarity or curiosity about modeling/forecasting data (python, R, a plus)
• Experience building, working & maintaining data pipelines & ETL processes in Apache Airflow
• Experience building, working & maintaining data pipelines & ETL processes in Apache Airflow
• Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
