Senior Financial Security Analyst / Engineer (Blockchain)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Security Analyst/Engineer to join our team and ensure the financial security of our blockchain-based systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of blockchain technology, financial systems, and security principles.

And will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect our financial operations and assets from potential threats and vulnerabilities. The candidate should have a strong background in financial security practices, risk management, and compliance within the blockchain domain.

Responsibilities

• Assess and Mitigate Financial Risks: Identify potential financial risks within our blockchain systems, including smart contracts, digital wallets, and payment mechanisms. Analyze vulnerabilities, conduct risk assessments, and implement appropriate controls to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of financial transactions
• Implement Security Controls: Design and implement robust security controls, such as access management, encryption, multi-factor authentication, and secure key management, to protect financial assets and transactions. Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks, standards, and best practices
• Conduct Security Audits: Perform regular security audits and assessments of our blockchain-based financial systems to identify weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and non-compliance. Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified issues and enhance the overall security posture
• Monitor and Detect Security Incidents: Establish monitoring and detection mechanisms to identify and respond to security incidents, such as unauthorized access attempts, suspicious transactions, or breaches. Develop incident response protocols and collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve security incidents
• Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay abreast of the latest trends, advancements, and emerging threats in blockchain technology, financial security, and regulatory requirements. Continuously update knowledge and skills to adapt to evolving security challenges and ensure compliance with industry best practices
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, including developers, auditors, compliance officers, and business stakeholders, to align financial security objectives with business goals. Provide guidance and support to ensure that financial operations and transactions are conducted securely and in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Risk Management and Compliance: Assess and manage financial risks associated with regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, money laundering, and financial data privacy within the blockchain ecosystem. Develop and maintain appropriate policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptography, and financial systems
• Experience in financial security, risk management, or compliance within the blockchain domain
• Familiarity with blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, or Ripple, and related security frameworks
• Knowledge of smart contracts, digital wallets, and cryptocurrency operations
• Proficient in security assessment tools and methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to financial security
• Professional certifications in blockchain security (e.g., Certified Blockchain Security Professional - CBSP) or related certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP) are a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
