About the Program
The Mina Grants Program recognizes and rewards those working on projects and demonstrating behaviors that further the Mina protocol and community.
Community-Nominated Grants
Each quarter, community members can nominate individuals, teams and even themselves, if they have made contributions to Mina. You can see a selection of actual grants that have recently been given here. No contribution is too small – help the Mina Foundation award those working on Mina by nominating them!
Stages
1. NOMINATIONS
Community members nominate themselves or others via a form.
2. ELIGIBILITY CHECK
An eligibility review is conducted to filter out contributions not made within the quarter as well as those that may have already received a grant.
3. NOMINEE QUESTIONNAIRE
Those nominated who make it past the eligibility review stage will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and given the opportunity to share relevant information about their contribution, to assist with the evaluation process.
4. EVALUATION
The Mina Foundation will evaluate all contributions based on the input provided in the previous steps.
5. ANNOUNCEMENT
A full list of eligible nominees will be shared with the community on Discord and other channels.
6. KYC ONBOARDING
All potential grantees will receive KYC onboarding and be available to move forward to the payout phase if they successfully pass the required process. Check out the detailed overview and timing for the whole process here.
Evaluation Criteria
The Mina Foundation will be reviewing all community grant nominations, giving consideration to criteria such as these listed. You can see the full evaluation tool here.
- 01/ Community contributions that are aligned with Mina’s mission and CORE values
- 02/ High impact projects (especially those related to zkApps) that benefit the community and broader ecosystem
- 03/ Projects exhibiting elegance in design and high effort
- 04/ Contributions that have a positive user experience for many community members
